Thanks for the info! Interesting!

There's a LOT of paper cardboard talk about the Deluxe version, with very little actual content. Although I'd LOVE to have that 92 page book, and I'm sure the package will look and feel really good.

I will probably just buy the 2 CD Deluxe edition, download/watch all the movie content somewhere, see some of the pics here on IORR and pick up my dad's original '72 vinyl when I want the "real deal".

Arrggg!!! Can't wait!!!

By the way, seems like the movie content that will be available to us is going to be in the following form::

1. 61 minute documentary called "In Exile" to be broadcast by TV channels (?).

2. 30 minute DVD with PARTS of the above docu + PARTS of Ladies & Gentlemen and CS Blues (outtakes?).

All in all, I think the DVD without a doubt represents the "good chance wasted" in this package. Just 30 minutes and we still can't get L&G, CS Blues or any other '72 film material officially, despite "20 hours of outtakes" available (according to article in the other thread). Interestingly, it's just like how it went with the Ya-Ya's deluxe version.

When they start handing out Super Deluxe sets for free, I'll accept it as is and be grateful for it. Until then, it's commerce and the product is open to criticism.

Good idea to actually know the price and quality/content before you start gripping eh?

Well this is a thread providing information about the contents. According to the OP's info, the super deluxe set is being padded with postcards. That's my gripe. If you can't deal with that, I don't know what I can do for you.

My problems not aimed at you sir. I agree postcards are tacky but its happened before with many other artists.

Comments like "a joke" get me. We've not even seen what the product will look like and many hear are getting in a tiswas about it. At least wait till its released.

Interesting that the play.com item description seems a bit loose around the DVD contents. If I paid 110 quid, I'd expect the item as described.

In that case I look like quite the fool. If there's some historic aspect to the postcards inclusion, then it's not exactly padding.
