I didn't see this mentioned anywhere...

Mick and Keith are cover stories on upcoming Uncut and Mojo magazines this month:

Thanks for the heads up! These mags are so expensive in the USA but worth it!

I have a feeling this is only the beginning of a wave of front cover/magazine articles that are being unleashed by the release of Shine A Light. Of course Rolling Stone too. Guess I'll be spending a lot of money on magazines in the next month or two.

They will all most likely say the same thing. I might buy the Rolling Stone. The rest...nah. Pointless.

They are both expensive but both have interesting articles. The Uncut has the "Mick is Vain" interview with Keith, but also a less forthcoming one with Mick. For eg: "Has the relationship between you and Keith got any easier?" Answer: "No". Mojo has an article about the events of 1968 and how they effected the Stones in particular. 13 pages with photos. And an article on SAL with Scorsese and Jagger.

Eh?

Uncut has the interview by both stones and a free CD of music that inspired the stones

Mojo has a superb article on the riots and the stones. Very well written

The CD is absoluetly blinding and contains rare R& B and blues.....

Ah, I meant that the likely plethora of magazines coming out will most likely say the same thing. MOJO does do an excellent job on their stories as I have always bought their issues, at least their Stones issues, in the past.

I'm just a little leery of spending money to collect such things when I did all I could when Bang came out and didn't really get anything (a little storm got in the way).

Mojo is consistently a great mag and the CD's usually fantastic.

Uncut has a fasination with Americana that baffles me and isn't half as well produced.

But both worth getting this month...

That's why I buy Uncut as I can get to read and hear about americana. Loving the new Drive By Truckers and Jason Isbell albums @ the moment.

really enjoyed the Shine A Light article in Mojo.

Ta for now.
