My two favourites (Scotland and Finland) didn't make it to the finals so I have to cheer for my third favourite (Germany). Nice Little T&A in that one picture :-)

Be a big sensation if the US won the cup. In every country but ours. But that ain't happening. I do think that England will do much better than advertised. Still trying to get over Ireland getting stuffed by the refs vs. France.yawning smiley

Spain must be a bit humble....much better Brazilian teams in '82 and '86 didin't win.

Anyway, let's not forget that no European team has ever won outside of Europe.

They still wouldnt have qualified. Teams get shafted by bad refereeing and cheating opponents all over the world every week. Its not nice, but it happens, and will continue to happen until FIFA come into the 21st century and bring in some form of video replay system to aid referees. They benefitted themselves from a dodgy decision or two earlier in the competition. The whining done over the Thierry Henry incident (especially asking FIFA to be installed as an additional qualifier even though they wouldnt actually have qualified had the goal been disallowed) was tiresome and utterly ludicrous.

I will support Switzerland.

Winner between - Spain,Germany,Brazil,England and I would say Germany to win, very strong young generation coming through and Rene Adler is a superb goalkeeper.

Rooney however will be the star of the tournament.

The most likely winners are Brazil, Germany and Spain. The champion will, as always, be European or South American. The countries from the other continents will make it to the semifinals at the very best. I'd say that in all likelihood at most one or two of them will even make it to the quarterfinals, with none making it to the semis.

I will support The Netherlands, of course, but I'm also hoping New Zealand will survive the group stage, unlikely as it is.

well...will support Switzerland of course...my country...
but i think it will be very very hard for us to pass thourgh the 1st stage...

favourites for the cup: England (i think this is the right time with Capello), Spain and Brazil

i also was planning to travel to South Africa to follow my team, but i decided not to go...too expensive (very very expensive!!) and also i think not so well organized (at least what the travel agency offer us was not good)

so will watch closely on TV!
