The Last Cover Song

The Rolling Stones, and the Beatles each recorded a number of cover tunes early in their careers.

The question I have is, what is the last studio version cover song that the Stones recorded as an official release? And the same question regarding the Beatles.

Another question (maybe not) would be what was the last song the Stones and/or the Beatles recorded in the studio where none of the band members received writing credits?

I won't make a guess because I don't know.

Officially I think it might be Too Rude on Undercover

I maybe wrong I don't like either song but I think its Fell On Baby on Undercover and Too Rude is on Dirty Work. One of them is a cover.

Bob And Earle's version is the famous one. I don't know if anyone else did it before them or not.

Didn't they put out 'Like a Rollin Stone' as a single off of stripped?

Yep - but that was a 'live' recording

I think slew is correct with Harlem Shuffle and Too Rude.
The tribute to stu is a cover as well, but it´s an excerpt and it´s him and not the Stones.

But what about Anybody Seen My Baby ?
At least they had to share the credits with kd lang.

Last ones, not in studio but live, from the stones

Champagne & Reefer
Just My Imagination

From Shine A Light.

I think, the last ones, from the Beatles
- the medley Rip It Up/Shake, Rattle and Roll/Blue Suede Shoes
- Mailman, Bring Me No More Blues
- Ain't She Sweet

From Anthology 3. OK, it's on a compilation, but those songs wasn't officialy available before.

Stripped is 50% in studio. And Little Baby was recorded in studio, in Tokyo, 3–5 March 1995.
By the way, Not Fade Away was recorded in studio in Lisbon from 23–26 July 1995. So this is the last cover recorded in studio.

Live or not, a cover is a cover in my eyes, so Champagne & Reefer is it for me.

Feel On Baby is a Stones song.

As far as the Stones and cover songs go:

The last studio recording on an album was Little Baby.

The last studio recording that was released was Payin' The Cost To Be The Boss.

The last studio recording that was a single was Harlem Shuffle.

The previous studio recording that was a single was...Ain't Too Proud To Beg.
