Sorry if there's already been a thread on this before but I though it would be interesting to discuss what we listen to our music on (Stones or otherwise).
In the last few months, I've been creating what I consider a decent hifi set up after years of not getting the sound I wanted with the budget I had.
My current set up is:
TURNTABLE: Thorens TD150 MKII / Shure M97XE Cartridge (1970s) AMPLIFIER: Rogers Cadet III Intergrated Tube Amplifier (1960s) REEL TO REEL: SONY TC-377 (1970s) SPEAKERS: Morduant Short Carnival Series 2 (1970s) CD DECK: PHILIPS CDR796
All the old stuff has been fully serviced and works like new. My next purchases will hopefully be A nice NAKAMICHI Cassette deck and possibly the new OPPO BDP83-SE Blu-ray player that does everything from CD/SACD/DVD-A and loads more.

a timely post for me, as after getting my amp serviced, my system is up again after several years! misterfrias may put us all to shame, but here goes:
TURNTABLE: Music Hall MMF-2 - starting to think this is a weak link - or I may need it realigned AMPLIFIER: Dynaco Stereo-70 with matching PAS-3 preamp (1970s) SPEAKERS: B&W 602s CD DECK: Rotel 930something--does this brand still exist? Headphone amp: Creek OBH-11 Headphones: Grado SR125s
