Time to take that leopard print jumpsuit out of the closet (ok, I never actually put mine away) - Sir Elton John will soon deign to descend on Vegas for a series of shows at Caesar's Palace!

Who's in? I'm thinking about it myself; I'm a huge Elton fan . . .(maybe I should have kept that bit of knowledge in the closet along with the jumpsuit)

I've long harboured a dream of being Elton's touring guitarist - all I'd need to do is play a few chords every couple of songs and spend the rest of the night smoking, waving, posing, and pumping my crotch. (like a certain stones guitarist that we all know and love . . .)

maybe i can score a job interview with elton when i'm in vegas, then? hopefully he won't make me go to the casting couch . . .

Where have you been? Elton has been playing Caesar's for something like 2 years now. (on and off, when Celine takes a break) It's one of the best venues/shows in the world. Worth every penny. there's not a bad seat in the house.

Ditto what Duane said....I would go if I were out there (Vegas) even though
I'm more of a 1970s-era EJ fan. For me...things began unraveling with
"Don't Go Breaking My Heart".

Anyway...a while ago his "Red Piano" (Vegas) show was aired on
network television. I think I still have it Tivo'd. Tat will suffice.

I saw Jerry Seinfeld 2 years at the same venue (Caesar's). Nice place. Good show.

1) Keith IS an arthritic monkey, 2) I saw Redge in Seattle in '74 & '75. He's talented and puts on just as good a show or better than the Stones. No useless back up musicians or singers. In the paper yesterday Daryl Jones was listed as one of The Rolling Stones in the birthday section. I was scandalized!

Maybe but my loyalty is to Keith. Elton is just a Dame Edna wannabe. I'd rather see the Spice Girls.

Well, though he`s a bit of a bitch, I think he has some great tunes. If he would come to the Netherlands I`d definetly go see him. But THAT`S the thing. This guy has litteraly become a Vegas-act and is not ashamed of it either.

Keith's dead blondes comments was a classic. It's that sort of acerbic wit that makes him so loveable - unless you're a dead blonde.

I saw him November 8, 1974.....it was actually a great show with his classic band of Davey Johnstone, Dee Murray, Nigel Olson, and Ray Cooper......but I have no interest in seeing him nowadays

It was a great artist who lost the spirit many years back

I think your a little late with your announcement.

Elton has been playing Vegas @ Caesars now for several years. Whenever Silly Dion takes time off EJ fills in.

I saw what I thought was one helluva good show by EJ back in October @ Caesars.
