ANOTHER one? Sheesh. Should have stopped at 4. This is getting as ridiculous as Tupac.

i agree. the final song on the final album he released while alive was "we'll meet again". it kinda loses it's meaning with these new releases.

Not really. We have 'met again' - on American V, which was painful to listen to (as in it sounded almost cruel) and now this latest (and hopefully final) album.

Yeah, but blame it on Kane, not Johnny.

There's been more than that as there was also the 'Unchained' boxed set which included four cd's worth of unreleased material recorded

Anyway, who cares how many there are? If they're there in the archives and good enough to be released (and they are), then bring them on. His collaborations with Rick Rubin provided some of the greatest music of his career. I'g further and say that they compare pretty favourably to the work of any artist on the planet during that decade. The 5th volume was significantly better than the 4th one, which was probably the weakest of the entire collection.

Big difference with Tupac in that Cash knew his time was almost up and yet continued to record specifically with the intention that the material would be released at some point. He even went back into the studio a week after his wife's death and started work on about 30 more songs, finishing just before his own death. If only there were more artists around now who were so artistically and creatively driven.

heard the new album for the first time last night.

Its quite short (10 songs clocking in at just over 30 minutes) but very good.

Title track is brilliant.

I've just got this. The title track is indeed superb. It's a very good album.
