C**ksucker Blues Movie Outtakes

Does anybody have any outtakes from the C**cksucker Blues movie?
I read that some appeared briefly on Youtube but were removed.
Did anyone get to see them? What did they consist of?
Cheers, Vudicus.

This 1972 movie is rumoured to contain 'hard scenes'. The question is, how 'hard'?

The film is quite easily obtainable if you haven't seen it noughties.
I may be able to set up a trade if you're interested.

Rumored? There are several bootleg versions of this film that have been in circulation for years, including on DVD.

Ain't nothing in it you can't see on HBO or an episode of "Intervention."

I also saw the film screened in Boston in 1988. The bootlegs are, indeed, the 'director's cut' since Robert Frank always travels with the copy of the film.

I have also had the priviledge of seeing some outtake footage at a private screening in a collector's home. While interesting (and silent), nothing too salacious.

do you know if the outtakes you saw are the same ones that appeared on youtube, Jmarko?

My original copy of CSB had Keith getting shot up, Mick snorting white powder in the dressing room at Philly #1, and just a couple seconds here and there. I'd really like to see all the raw footage of the concerts. I'm not concerned about the druggie or groupie scenes, having been there and done that myself. But the intensity of the music must be brain splattering.

In the version I have, you don't see keith getting shot up, you only see him slouched over someones lap nodded out, and the camera pans away just before jagger snorts a line. I'm guessing this is the version you are refering to, menace?

i'm guessing Menace is referring to the version where you *do* see Keith apparently getting a fix.
i've seen versions of CSB with and without this scene (which leaves most of the "action" to the imagination anyway)

Wow, I didn't realise there was a different cut with Keith shooting up.
I only have the "Big @#$%& Blues" bootleg dvd and I don't remember that scene, maybe I should double check.

well ... it isn't "Keith shooting up"; it isn't too "wow" either.
it's a chick cooking some smack and then standing next to Keith with her back to the camera,
and then going up to some other people. you're not missing much.

It's Keith sitting on the edge of a bed in some hotel room, probably Tuscaloosa or Nashville. He's probably being injected, someone is bent over him doing something as Keith slowly shakes his head. But he was a junkie, so big deal.

There might be NEW things coming from the R.Frank side coming to us soon since CS Blues will be OFFICIALLY released newt Spring.
Along with a new Frank-endorsed transfert (yum!) we'll get about 25 minutes of Super-8 material Frank shot during the 72 Tour.

Random thoughts :
- My copy has MJ snorting blow from the tip of a switchblade. Rings a bell?
- Yes CS Blues is the greatest rock film ever made.

I've just scanned through the DVD again and I do have the scene with Keith being injected. I must've missed it before, you can really see what's happening.

Hi!

I donĀ“t think this movie will get an Offcial Release next spring, or any spring at all.

The Stones would not allow it, and it will clash with the release of Shine a Light.

Where did you get that information???
