i was very stoned on pot cake!!!! it was kinda sloppy show, I was at the second one of the night
stanley clarke on bass during miss you, pretty cool and let it rock was a highlight for me and the opening i will never forget, with the spotlight on keith and then mick stepped into it and then "prodigal son" was a treat. we went @#$%& nuts.
loved ronnies and keith's shared mic/ashtray stand.
when the national tv news showed the show that night they played star star!
have fond memories of that old arena, went back years later to see stompin'tom!

ahh i love hearing people's stories from the Oshawa show -
i have this ultra-detail-minded question i really want to ask about those gigs, but
smile: it sounds like maybe you weren't in a state to remember what i'm looking for (and rightly so!)

(but in case you - or someone else around here maybe - can stand it:
what colour tshirt was Keith wearing at the second show? at one CNIB show he wore a red one,
at the other he wore a white one, and i'd love to know, after all these years, which photos are from which show.)
(i do have a theory, but i don't want to prejudice the witness!)

meanwhile, enjoy the hell out of that New Barbarians CD - that's what it's for :E

Gotta love Stompin' Tom...

But the CNIB concert... that's a definite "get" !!!

Maybe it's been done to death, but since there's no tour to fuss over, I think it would be pretty cool to have people post about the small or one-off shows that they've made it to over the years. The Toronto club gigs are legend - but I've never been to one... and there were many others. Would love to read about them from the people who were there - how you got in, the sets, the famous friends-of who were there, any seen or reliably-rumoured scandals... Anybody out there want to start a thread about those shows? Would likely be a good idea to include a caveat regarding your degree of impairment and the reliability of your report...
