Anyone of you tape music from your guitar?
Do you use a multitrack or Software?
What kind of them do you use?

I use an old TASCAM 4 tracks for cassete¡¡

Preamp to PC, Minidisc connected to the soundboard or multiple mikes in the room for live recordings.

I did use a TASCAM in the late 80s/early 90s. I really like those recorders. Mine was a 4 track.

I have used a TASCAM 4 Track but want to move over to digital recording to the PC. I haven't taken the plunge yet though...

Korg D3200. Has a direct guitar input. You can record 8 simultaneous tracks, which is great for recording your band live. I stepped up from a Tascam 8 channel R2R which was a step up from a Tascam 4 channel cassette. Still have the R2R, but tape is getting expensive.

I have a Boss BR1180 It's 10 tracks and each track has 8 virtual tracks, very user friendly, my band recorded our first CD on the machine. It's an old model number (about 4 years old) I would recommend the comparable unit. Now comes in 8, 12, and 16 tracks, I believe. Check out the Roland/Boss catalogs.
