A long list of six-string masters has signed up for "Experience Hendrix," a tribute taking place at the Beacon Theatre, Broadway and 74th Street, New York, on Oct. 17. Legendary bluesman Buddy Guy will perform, as will Robby Krieger of the Doors, former Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, steel-guitar whiz Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Hubert Sumlin, former Hendrix sidemen Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox, the blues-rock band Indigenous, and Eric Gales.
Tickets, $35-$99.50, go on sale Saturday at noon through Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone (201-507-8900) and Ticketmaster Online (ticketmaster.com).
