He put out the Beggars Banquet newsletter back in the day. He was always good to respond to questions back before IORR. If you're out there Bill, give us a glimmer!

I've been on his e-mail list for a few years, but since the Forty Licks tour, his updates have been few and far between. I can't remember when the last one was.

What about the Sticky Fingers Journal? I used to be on that E-Mail list too. But have'nt gotten anything in a while.

And what about John Carr and his
informative Stones Sticky Fingers booklet ... they were a hot few years

they were very hot until they became pro sister morphine and anti anything from japan, i really loved the sfj until then, canceled my subscription and the mailing list

yeah i even had a couple of blurbs published in the magazine in the fan section, it was great for awhile, they even sold SFM at tower records for awhile,then it just went away without a trace

Still have every edition...

me too, the only fanzine that i liked more was basement news, that is my all time favorite, got me hooked on boots

IORR............but I like it!

I used to subscribe to this in the late '70's . Always found someting interesting to read there . Wish I had held onto some of the newsletters , would have been ibtersting to look at now .

I have many BEGGARS BANQUET newsletters and letters from BG.
I was so jealous of his friendship with the band

I loved to receive the letters with exclusive news, signatures of the band, unique pictures ...
At this time no internet. So the only sources were papers.

The magazine had a very nice smell, as I remember.....

I think you can still get the back issues.
They are a great read, especially the issue with the article from the 100 Club in 1986.

Yeah, I subscribed out of the Undercover order form. Liked the Christmas cards signed by KR and RW (not personally, just a copy, but cool still). Still have a number of issues of BB and the cards,etc.

Bill has (had?) a website that he was updating with new tour information at least up until a few years ago. Had the pleasure of meeting him before the Stones' Bay Area run in '97 - he was involved in an event as a speaker at the art gallery where Ronnie's "wares" were displayed. He talked for maybe 30 minutes and then mingled with many of us. A pretty level-headed guy, I would say. Certainly had some unique stories about the lads - especially ron and keith - as he was in their company on many occasions during the "down times" of the 80's....

It was an interesting event. He sure did tell some fun anecdotes!

Thanks to Sweet Neo Con, I went to the website and ordered the whole shebang of issues at a great price. Seems like a great deal.

Can you do the same with IORR? (order all back issues at one time?)

I used to email him and he'd reply up until a few years ago; I bought Beggar's Banquet and have all of those old issues( well, not quite all, but a huge pile!). and every once in awhile, I'll dig them out and read them. What fire? Do tell.
