Here's my list of their songs to symbolize The Last Time for the Rolling Stones...
It's only rock n roll fantasy. Would the Stones ever even play a show billed as "The Last Rolling Stones Concert" ever? Nope, never.
It's Only Rock 'n Roll The Last Time Till the Next Goodbye We Love You No Expectations Ain't Too Proud To Beg It's All Over Now Don't Stop Sad Sad Sad Like A Rolling Stone Not Fade Away This Place Is Empty Slipping Away Happy The Singer Not the Song Let Me Go Stop Breaking Down Miss You Shine a Light As Tears Go By Satisfaction

as long as the last song is Street Fighting Man...the rest is incedental...I'm sure they'd pick a great set list, if they KNEW it was gonna be the last show, but I bet, no one will know the last show until someone dies.....I cant see them actually planning a last show.

Well...I don't think they will plan or announce a last show. But if all the reports on Keiths playing due to illness is true, I'm afraid that the shows in London this August might be the last.
Funny because Keith's idol has always been Chuck Berry growing up. He stole every lick from him. Well...he's turning into Chuck in all levels, these days. His messiness and sloppiness is on track just like his mentor, Chuck. Chuck is known for bum notes that have multiplied in quantity as the years roll on. Saw Chuck last year at Blueberry Hill--was impressed as to how "not as bad" I thought he was. I hope Keith doesn't get to this level.
There has always bum notes from Keith...but I'm a little worried about all the bad reports. I really don't believe that he has become THAT bad since last September, when I saw my best Stones show ever. The sound was great, the playing was great, the singing...everything.

At least you've got something to look towards , I would have seen my last ( Atlantic City 10/17/06 ) , now that's sad .
Yeah I know. Hope for another tour and another album...but off course it becomes harder and harder. You have to remember that they have reached an age where most people retire.
it ain't my fantasy; i can see where it'd be fun for some to specualate...but for me it seems like planning a funeral event schedule... don't want any part of it. not yet time for the vultures to circle the corpse...they will go out as they came in...no expectations. but everything forever different in their wake, even as it is now...and for centuries to come. diamonds in the rough and flowers of great beauty... "Our love is like our music...it's here...and then....it's gonnnnneeeeee....."
but it will never die...we will; they will; it won't. praise be. those boyz done real good...and may god bless their souls.
seriously tho, i have a gut feeling about this last gig in london - it seems really ironic, i mean, lets be honest, they dont often finish a tour on home soil. Thats why every concert leading up to this - this summer should be treated with respect and enjoyed to the MAX just in case they do call it a day.
I think keef is looking really old now - he's not the same as he was 2-3 years ago. He is struggling with his fingers and i reckon there were more things about that accident last year than was released to the press - like it was worse and had lasting effects...
