What a beautiful song, I love this one. Does Woody play guitar on this? I know it's Rod, not the Faces, but I remember he played on some of Rod's early solo stuff.
Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

It's probably my favourite Rod Stewart song. It's a pity Rod Stewart sold out soon after releasing Every picture tells a story.Gasoline alley is a great record as well with some amazing guitar playing by Ron.He sounds as if he was made for The Rolling Stones on those records. No wonder he joined The Stones later.
An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down Gasoline Alley Every Picture Tells A Story Never A Dull Moment Smiler
They're great Rod Stewart albums from 1969-1974 . Never A Dull Moment...woa you better get that one!
But the Faces 4cdbox "Five Guys Walk Into A Bar" contains both "Faces-songs" and "Stewart-songs" and it's a fantastic compilation, including a lot of funny versions from concerts/rehearsals/radio shows.

Generous dispointment..that's well put, but it's a good idea, I think, ...sometimes I have 2 copies of a CD, or a DVD I didn't like...then I just ship it to the library.
I actually really like the mandolin wind version on unplugged. Oh well, each to there own. I like it after handbags and gladrags where rod says "Handbags and gladrags... and 'ere's ron wood...!!"

Isn't this the guy who shares the writing credit on Maggie Mae?
