Not many musicians can do it all- write their own songs, sing them, play lead guitar and be top notch in all fields. It's a short list so I'll start with the first and one of the greatest- Chuck Berry.
Bo Baby... The real hero of 60's R&B beat music...Shave and a hair-cut two bits..
Bo Diddley...He can be anything you want Bo's a Gunslinger..Lover...Twister... Hey he could even be a ChainSaw for ya....GRRRRRRrrr..Grrrrrr...GrrrGrrr
That one and only Rockabilly Cat - Mr Carl Perkins... Hell he gave da world Blue Suede Shoes ain't that enough...AND then there's that razor cuttin' Dixie Fried
Mick Ronson had a solo career just after "Ziggy broke up the band..." Clearly an underestimated artist and a fine guitarist and a very sweet person. There are a lot of people who miss him. If you stumble across albums like "Play, Don't Worry" and "Slaughter On 10th Avenue" - listen to them. Lend Mick Ronson an ear - and you won't regret it.
