Stones convention in Toronto

What would it take to organize a convention (kind of like Star Trekkies do)
in Toronto.......Rolling Stones theme

Just think, collectors could display their wares, have clone bands all over, possibilities are endless...........anyone interested in pursuing what could be a really cool time?

Well, Toronto loves the stones, and there is that bar, 'stonesplace' which would be a great place for some drinks, or maybe even for the convention. If you get a large crowd then you can hold it at the ACC. LOL!!

Don't know if it would be similar to a Star Trek convention. At those conventions you often get stars to show up (Shatner, Nimoy etc.). I don't think you can get Jagger or Richards to show up at a Stones convention.

If you are talking about just a bunch of fans getting together that happens. The folks on the shidoobee site had a big convention down in Wildwood, N.J. recently. I think last summer?

Did anyone from here go?

We are doing our Wildwood Week-end again this Labor Day.
Shattered, Hot Rocks and the Mike Hunt band are all playing. All Stone's fans are welcome.

You can't beat Wildwood NJ in the summertime. One of the best summertime vacation spots in the country. It's got a huge beach, probably the longest boardwalk in the country and only about thirty miles away from Atlantic City.
