wow- what a show- amazing energy, great crowd- this crowd was on their feet the whole time and singing along to every song, which is more then i can say about a stones crowd. has anyone seen him recently and if you have, how would you rate his shows vs stones shows of 2005/06- in my opinion billy joels show blew the stones away because him and his band still sound just like their records do

Wow! I figured he would be good, but a lot lower energy than our boys. May need to go see him.

Did he do "New York State Of Mind"?

"You May Be Right" always had a Stonesy feel to me.

"No Anchovies, Please"

I am IN Billy Joel's "Matter Of Trust" promo video.
I just happened to be walking down St. Marks Place in NYC that day.

Billy Joel is usually one of those people who gets trashed around here. I like his music. Never have seen him live. But if he's still puttin on good shows I'd have to consider checking him out.

At the John Lennon Memorial TV Special, hosted by Michael Douglas, Billy Joel did a killer version of Back In The USSR. I always loved his rendition of that song.

....And that's exactly why it isn't better. Would never go to a show where the music sounds exactly like on the record.
