They are selling 'top price tickets' for £315, including a night at a crappy 3* holiday inn near the venue. When you select the tickets, it says they are general admission.
He really is a nice guy, that Michael Cohl. And if it wasn't for him, I'm afraid they would have stopped touring a long time ago. Actually he was the first perso n who managed to make the Stones ridiculously wealthy. Other managers of theirs turned ridiculously wealthy themselves, but for some strange reason, our boys were rather broke... They were ripped off big time. So, I actually thanked Cohl, met him in the MSG January 20 2006, for supplying them with more than pocket money... We both had a good laugh.

Not what I was talking about Andy (do you see "Ticket Prices" in my comment?) What's with you being his cheerleader? Go cheer somewhere else - the man sickens me (but I go back to the 69 tour so I have a dif perspective) Now, get off of my cloud...

At least it seems TM didn't keep the best seats for this package - otherwise they would have stated "first 20 rows on the floor guaranteed".
Mr Cohl is definately the one who sets the ticket prices.
Stones are paid per show a fixed ammount, Cohl can top on that whatever he wants + he also gets all the merchandising.
Mr Cohl can still be a nice person in person, but he's still a business guy.... And, what saddens me is, that he is right, because we are foolish enough to dig this. We don't take any chances of 'losing out' on this band..
I often used Cohl as an excuse, but in reality the band call the shots.I haven't been able to defend them (when accused of greed) since 98 when they pulled a tour for tax reasons. And before you think "typical Jagger"it was Charlie and Ronnie who flatly refused to come to the UK that year as they were the only 2 members affected.I don't believe that bollocks about the crew either.
"you can keep the money pal" - KR 2005 YEA RIGHT !

what a load of BOLLOCKS!
a promoter, whether putting a club tour together, or a stadium tour has one thing to do. cover the costs of what the band are requesting. if the tickets are £150 thats because the BAND have asked to earn an obscene amount and its been priced accordingly
of course Cohl will make his cut, all promoters do.
but if the band had said, 'we'd be happy with a million each from this tour' you wouldn't be seeing prices as you are
stop pretending the band are nothing to do with all this business bullshit!
they started it, and they're the ones making mountains of money from it. accept it and move on. this isn't rock n roll anymore. its corporate business at its biggest
and you know they wouldn't roll out without knowing they're going to pocket several millions each. thats the motivation
otherwise they'd play as a stripped down 5-6 piece and tour civic halls/odeons and charge £20 a gig
Local promotors who win the bid for the Stones shows of course set the ticket prices themselves. They've bought the entire package. Naive to think the Stones can demand say, £ 1,5 million for a show from a promotor, and then set the ticket prices themselves...
