The Rolling Stones will headline the Isle of Wight festival in the UK on June 10th.


Tomorrow (March 22nd), the band will also announce a series of European dates to make good for some cancelled shows on the A Bigger Bang tour.

Mick Jagger is expected to announce 20 more Stones shows for 2007 with the finale set for London's Wembley Stadium at the end of August.

Meanwhile, the Stones may also have new music to go with the new dates. In the last few weeks, the band has been in the studio with producer Don Was.

Good news if true.

First I've heard of it, but sounds intriguing

however the "20 shows" bit isnt correct and the Wembley Stadium piece doesnt apepar to be, either.

Tour, Tour DVD, Scorsese movie, Ronnie vault releases, Mick solo album - and even a new Stones album? Would be the cream on the cake

I doubt the Stones have a full album of material. Either way... betcha Mick's using his better songs for his own disc!

Would be cool for the stones to release an EP, with four or five new songs on it. Or even just a brand new single, something really great, to coincide with the european tour.
