have to disagree on Sympathy - its always a highlight for me - and I always love hearing Ruby Tuesday, I dont even think Beast of Burden has been played yet on this tour, has it?
IORR was better on ABB than it has been for years but I'd certainly be happy never to hear Miss You (brilliant though the original version is) or Start Me Up in concert ever again.
Start Me Up Miss You You Got Me Rocking Tumbin Dice
These don't work well live anymore..
Happy Shattered
Would love to see them drop Satisfaction for some other 60s hits like 19th Nervous Breakdown, Mothers Little Helper, It All Over Now or whatever. But I doubt that will happen. Actually the songs I listed above probably have the best chance of being played this summer.

Someone suggested Everything Is Turning To Gold a few weeks ago, and that's a good one

Harlem Shuffle.
far from "not minding" hearing BOB again, as erikjjf put it, i'm actively hoping for it. a brilliant song that was only played a few times on the ABB tour, right at the outset.
Also, i demand - DEMAND that tumbling dice remain in the setlist. this is a song that MUST be played at every stones tune.
agree about sympathy for chuck leavell, however- dump it!

yes, it was sans horns, and no gituar for mick. He did flash the audience right before the song like on "girls gone wild", but that wasnt enough to save it.

for me - show-wise, yes, musically it always reminds me of the greatness of the 1969/1970 live versions, and so...I nearly always have mixed emotions when they play it nowadays!
Ruby Tuesday is always a beauty when they dig it out, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. But I can live without Miss You - although I like the original version and the way the played it in 1978, this one gradually went down the hill on stage since then. Same with Beast Of Burden - as much as I like this song as much I have to admit that they never reached the 1978 live versions again.

I have never figured out why Beast of Burden is not played every night. What a great moment in any concert when this gem is unleased. It was played opening night at Fenway...great moment. If you've heard Brown Sugar too much...I have no idea what to tell you. One of the great moments in rock and roll history.
I have to agree with Gazza - Sympathy IS one of - if not the highlight - of the stadium shows. I never tire of it.
And Brown Sugar? Come on!! How can you take that one out?? JJF, Brown Sugar, & Sympathy should be the nightly staples. Everything else is up for grabs.
I could do without Satisfaction like on No Security. Hell I wouldn't mind if they gave HTW a rest too. Miss You I think sounded better on this tour than the last couple...but I could still do without it. I could also do without SMU - gee if we take away all of these warhorses, think of how many slots will open up for gems!!
Heartbreaker was great opening night - such a shock!
I have never understood why they don't play Mother's Little Helper - great lost song from the 60's.
Could do without Miss You, Start Me Up, Tumblin Dice and Satisfaction.. They have way too many recognizeable hits to always play these same ones. I have always been amazed that they don't do so many of their old hits from the 60s. They just seem content on playing the same ones tour after tour.. almost half of Hot Rocks are hardly ever played, and I think anyone at a Stones show would know those songs.
Sympathy For The Devil is definitely a must. It's my fave Stones tune. Well, actually they can play WHATEVER they want to. I'm gonna attend a few shows no matter what.
Sympathy For The Devil is one of the reasons, why I love to go to Stones-shows. For me, the setlist isn't that important because I like most of their songs.

well..when I said I love SFTD , I should add that I dont feel theres ANY song which is so sacred that it cant be 'rested' from time to time, even if in some cases, maybe only one show in ten or so. Theres always another easily recognisable one to take its place. The world didnt stop revolving on its access when they dropped Satisfaction from all but about ten shows after 1971 for a decade - and again on No Security, when they ditched Miss You as well.
