Thanks! Superior quality to the DVDs/VHSs I have....I'm not up-to-date with DVDs though. Good reminder on how good We Love You is.....would have been a highlight on TSMR if it had been a part of that album

All ready talked this over and over...........but I also love to mention that TSMR would be much "better" then if they added WLY, Dandy, Ruby, COTMoon........although I love the way it is

Ruby has nowt to do with Satanic and had already been a single and COTM wasn't a finished song/recording.

One does wonder whether or not this was an intentional ''f**k you!'' to Brian.

Allowing that footage to be included is pretty crappy imo.

The song is prime Psychedelia and I've always thought it would have kicked TSMR into another level...but this 'video' is totally unprofessional...it barely rises above bad-home-movie status. What a shame. The song should have inspired a killer promo film, not this atrocious mishmash and embarrassing 'acting' and posturing from the Stones.

Yes...VERY bad home-movie status. Look at the Beatles promo film/"video" for Stawberry Fields Forever. Also filmed in 1967. A masterpiece and a compelling piece of early Psychedelia. The Beatles took care to only release top-shelf stuff.





The Stones film of We Love You suffers terribly in comparison. There is no cogent theme...just a silly mash-up and amateur-status 'acting' by Keith and Mick and Marianne. The piece looks as if it was directed and edited by an Albanian on acid (no disrespect meant to any groovy Albanians). As much as I love the trippy vibe of the song, I find the promo film a shoddy, off-hand piece of garbage...especially in contrast to what the Stones' Liverpudian mates were producing in that same time frame. Embarrassing.

I know this thread is about the video, but listening to the song I noticed again how
amazingly rich the production of the song is. Pete Townshend later in 1967 described
his song I can see for miles as the loudest song ever recorded (which supposedly inspired
Paul McCartney to write Helter Skelter), but hearing We love you again, I think The Stones
beat the competition by a month.

It's a poorly written song, but as a recording it's raw and wonderful!

I think they all look a bit "tired" in this clip.

It has nothing to do with Sgt Pepper, and it´s a great track!
