i had the impression that the meet & greet things are for corporate sponsors, contest winners and the like, not something you can (normally) buy. i didn't study all the ABB FanAsylum deals that closely, since i can't afford them, but i'm pretty sure they didn't routinely include meet & greet scenarios.

I also don't think they included meet and greet. But last autumn, a few of those corporate employees etc. did sell their meet and greet slots on e-bay. I seem to remember one that went for over $4000.

... leading fans (fans!) to assume the Stones themselves are making a fortune on it. that's great. thanks, my dear Beast. care for some popcorn?
from just the ebay advert it's hard to tell; that foundation IS a reputable charity and it might be a special consideration that they were given in this regard...i dunno...i don't see where they are offering 'meets and greets' per se, to fans...not from this charity offering as written on ebay anyway...they might do 'em, but this looks like a special offering from the band to the charity.
The TJ Martell Foundation is 100% legit. I believe the person who started it is an old time NYC DJ from the WNEW days?
During Christmas time, they action off autographed guitars and other musical memorabilia over the radio in NYC. They've been doing this for numerous years.

yes, the buyer was a real estate broker. we emailed a little bit at the time and now she calls me occassionally (but gets my voicemail). she seems to want to be friends.
