I saw him in Cologne on last Thursday, great, great concert; camera?, no problem at all, in Cologne at least.

Saw him in Hamburg and twice in Cologne. Nobody cares about cameras. I was in the front row filming some songs during the seconds concert and taking about 50 pictures. The security saw me, but didnĀ“t mind.

One of my clips:

O2 security people don't seem at all bothered about small digital cameras.

Noone cares about cameras anymore, since every mobile phone has a camera. It would be too much of a drama for security to try to ban them.

Yes, no problem these days. In 2003 I a guy next to time got pulled out of the crowd for taking photographs by security people at the Hockenheim Stones concert. For him the show seemed to be over. Thank god those days are over.

I usually try to video shows if I have a good enough seat. Got CSN and Cat Stevens in London this year.

The older Macca gets the more he rocks...

Lets not forget Paul has a GREAT Band too, Abe is a Machine on those Drums
this Version of Paul's band has been together since 2002, damn near as long
as the (recorded) Beatles

Actually I saw his performance on the UK X Factor final and Macca was lousy. I've never heard his voice so bad. He strained to hit the notes and his singing was clipped - somthing I never though I'd hear as he was always one of the best rock singers going. Maybe he had a cold but on this occasion he made Jagger sound like Placido Domingo.

"Paul McCartney - what is the security like?"

Has anyone asked him yet? Which kind of security? Financial? I'm sure he's in no worry there.

Windows locked?
Air-bag on?
No ice on the wings?

What kind of security?

skipstone-

MACCA has LOJACK. if he gets lost or stolen, the police will recover him in no time at all. now that is having good security.

by the way, did you know that he objects to being transported in a limo that has leather seats? i do not know how he works that detail out.

yeh man! absolutely one of the greatest touring rock bands ever...the muscianship is on such a high level. brian ray, great songwriter and artist in his own right, a brilliant hot guitarist, and switch-bass player...the drummer astounds me...great harmony vokes all around...intense...paul is rockin' i'm surprised; thought he was dead in the water after so many bullshit solo albums.. but the dudes rockin' supreme. it's only the truth

Bellboy- I saw McCartney in 2003. 36 songs, 3 hours, and the sound was perfect. MACCA blew my mind. His band is phenomenal.

The same applies accordingly to Cologne last week: about 35 songs, 3 hours music, hard rocking versions of Get Back, Helter skelter, Back in the USA, an absolutely perfect band with two great guitarists, a drummer who are able to bring in fantastic harmony vocals, e.g. in Something; great acoustic work from Paul (Blackbird, Here today, Yesterday). One of the greatest concerts I ever saw.

Sorry, "Back in the USSR" of course, the Beatles tune, not Chuck's ...

I saw him in Arnhem. Great show. Long also. Cameras were no problem. In fact these days nobody cares about cameras anymore as long as they are not too professional, Porcupine Tree being the exception where cameras were banned.

Here are some others from Arnhem, made by someone who smuggled a camcorder in. That's how tight security is... ;-)
I was there, BTW, best concert I've seen in a long time.

The only artist within the last several years that still goes crazy at the sight of cameras and cellphones is Neil Diamond. I've witnessed his "goon squad" hunt down people 10 rows back taking cell phone pictures. Very Sad.

i saw him in o2 in berlin. from watching those clips i have the feeling everything is rehearsed even when and what he says between songs.

does anyone know?

is he playing the exact same songs and telling the exact same jokes and stories every night.

i really loved the concert and his two latest solo records.

I do find it interesting that the Queen rode in a First Class section to Sandringham the other day with one Royal Protection officer & microwavable celebs (hear me, Kanye?) travel w/ridiculous amounts of 'security'.

No Toker! I didn't know he "he objects to being transported in a limo that has leather seats"! Does his objection stop leather from being made?

Ha ha. Glad you got the joke though. It was almost a Jerky Boys kind of thing - "Yeah, Security, how ya doin'. I'm very insecure, I need some security."

Has Macca been selling out his shows or are there lots of empty seats??

The three shows I saw seemed to be sold out.
