yeah darlene love also does not get in .what a joke but abba makes the grade along with the stooges .i agree with genesis getting in ,but another head scratching year for me .also no chili peppers .it's gotta be all about the jann wenner love fest .

I can understand KISS not being in the Hall Of Fame. Problem is, there are already many other artists even less deserving than KISS who ARE in the Hall Of Fame. So I guess KISS should be in there too. Hell, put EVERYONE in there. Just like a really big record store!

Glad Jimmy Cliff made it, though. Maybe Keith will do the honors?

you could argue that madonna and some of these people actually hurt rock and roll.starting with the disco movement in the 70s club owners began putting in dj's instead of hiring bands.throw up a disco ball and there you go.madonna and that dance bullsht in the 80s just kept it going.jann wenner and his crap magazine have very little to do with r&r,they just use the name for their mainstream garbage.

It will be great to see the band, though, now that James Williamson is back. Tis a shame, however, than Ron Asheton didn't live to see his group make it.

As for Abba, like them or not, they've only sold a few billion records. I actually like a couple of their songs, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I agree. Madonna is the ANTITHESIS of rock and roll. And so, for that matter, is Abba.

i'd be happy with another genesis tour. i heard they were trying to get gabriel and hackett back for 1 more go round

It's about time that Jimmy Cliff was inducted. IMHO, next to Bob Marley, Jimmy is the best reggae artist ever. His songs are gems: "The Harder They Come", "Many Rivers to Cross","I Can See Clearly Now", "You Can Get It If You Really Want", "Vietnam", "Wonderful World Beautiful People" etc etc.
