Hey people

It's ten years since my 2nd fave band bit the dust and as you're all into to great music perhaps you'd like to hear the genius of Crowded House and Neil Finn...the greatest songwriter ever...imo better than McCartney, Dylan, Lennon et al. Just catch this from the Crowded House farewell gig @ Sydney Opera House.

I saw them when they played at the Beacon around 91/92. I think Richard Thompson opened for them. They were pretty good. Got to meet Neil for a second at the after party, he seemed really sweet.

Neil's brother Tim used to go out with the beautiful actress, Greta Scacchi.

I saw one of the Finns at free lunchtime gig at the plaza outside my office many years ago - i think it was Tim. He was barefoot...for some reason I remember that. but, he definitely had his finns.....

I always get the brothers names mixed up. Neil was the lighter haired one who was the singer for Split Enz while Tim was the guitarist, right?

I was at the Albert Hall for the Finn Bros gig the week Paul Hester the Jester took his life. FCUK me Neil asked the sound crew to take the PA down and and just him and acoustic guitar played Better Be Home Soon.... choked me up. Fcukin tears running down my cheeks as the whole of the Albert Hall sang along. Breaks my heart to this day Crowded House broke up.

ps I urge you all to get Farewell to the World DVD & CD by Crowded House. Can't stop the water works every time I watch it.

pps See you cats in Europe summer time. Love y'all

Neil Finn's a magical songwriter - his solo albums are underrated, in my book

I also love this band. My best memory of them is seeing them play at an open air in Darwin Australia in 1988, a beautiful starry night. Weirdly they played "Anarchy In THe UK" as an encore smiling smiley
