Great CD.

Wonder if the Stones will ever do anything like this?

You mean Jennifer "Love" Hewitt? I think Mick already hit that.

I for one would love to hear Bridges To Babylon mixed in DVD-Audio. Is it neccesary? No. But mixing the mastertapes in a superiour audio mode in stereo and in surround will be a thing to look forward to. But I'm probably a minority audio freak.

I agree Chav. Walrus and Come Together are particularly cool in 5.1

I love the Beatles & I bought "LOVE" (CD version). First few listens... I thought it sounded interesting.

But now... I keep asking: "Why?" It just seems unneccesary... Tinkering with perfection. It is just a musical curiosity. Perhaps to hear it as an accompaniment to watching the Cirque du Soleil would make it worthwhile... that is, in fact, LOVE's only reason for existing at all.

IMO, the only exception is "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with George Martin's beatiful string arrangement.

Imagine this... would there be anyone who thinks that it might be a good idea to layer different Stones tunes together for a similar effect? The organ solo from "I Got The Blues" mixed with "Shine A Light"? Why bother? "Jigsaw Puzzle" combined with... what?... "wild Horses"? Again... why bother?

Just bought it today and have listened to it once, first impression is - fantastic sound, remastering, and some very cool and interesting sections/links/mash-ups. For example, the beginning drum solo into get back, drive my car/what your doing/the word, and i LOVE the hey jude into sgt. pepper reprise. Fantastic use of timing.

Big thumbs up from me.

It's the kind of CD that you have to listen to with NO distractions. If you play it in your car, you cannot use your phone, talk to passengers, etc. Doing so you will miss what they did to the songs. If your CD player has a shuffle mode, be sure to turn it off or you miss the point.

I love it. There's a segment I can't get outta my head. The "Drive My Car" part where they have a snippet of What You're Doing.

Whilst I wo0uldn't advocate the cutting up and recycling of Stones tracks in teh same manner I would be interested in their songs be re-presented in a differemt manner. Not sure how though.

I don't really like it.

The songs have become about the other songs.

Just listen to this songs from LOVE, they all sucks (fiddles on Why My Guitar.... Man !!!!!!!!! it's a guitar song)

Lady Madonna (LOVE Version)
Octopus's Garden (LOVE Version)
Strawberry Fields Forever (LOVE Version)
While My Guitar Gently Weeps (LOVE Version)

Maybe they should call it "Just For The Money" instead of "Love"

BTW I'm a big Beatle Fan

This project was conceived by George Harrison and Guy Laliberte (of Cirque du Soleil) after a chance meeting at the Canadian F1 Grand Prix in Montreal some 3 or 4 years ago. The show is on at The Mirage in Vegas and is well worth checking out. The CD soundtrack is only half the experience as to see all these songs come to life on stage is quite surreal. Nevertheless, the CD has been so well remixed/remastered, partly due to the stunning quality of the original recordings, that it is a must-have for any Fab Four fan.
It is sad that George isn't around to see the results of his original idea.

I can relate to everything you write Jimmy. smiling smiley
I don't cry over it though. Never cried because of any music before 2003 (Midnight Rambler live).
