Popped into my head today.....that the concert-opener should be Keith Richards doing Crazy Arms, alone; on an ol-fashioned piano. He could keep on playing the piano, instead of guitar, for the rest of the show if he felt like it

Indian Girl would be a good opener

How about Citadel? Some good opening chords to bash. "Candy and Cathy. Hope you both are well."

Say does anyone know if the cover for the Japanese CD Single for Sympathy with the 7 remixes is the same holographic one that we had here in the states, or does it look different? Pretty peeved to learn that there are 3 other remixes I don't have of this song now!

Why worry about 3 more shitty "remixes" of SFTD that suck, surely, like the rest of them do?

Hear how that version HTW goes? That is STELLAR. The way they played it that tour is the best ever I think. The one good reason to have Love You Live. Before and since that tour, it's been total crap.

Great intro. Keith extending the intro, really making it an opening track. Great solo too. Perfection.

I'd like Chuck doing 'Great Balls of Fire' (solo piano and singing) as an opener. From there on it can only get better.

Because I'm a completist and must have them all, and I must say of all the remixes that have been done, I do find these to be the best! Out Of Control being the worst.

Once you have completed everything then what?

The only good thing about the You Got Me Rocking 'perfecto mix' is the whoo hoooo's in the beginning - the actual song part - THAT is what should have been used for a remix, not that trash that is the remix.

Then I won't have to as obsessive as I am now! smiling smiley Say the Dr. Dre Miss You remix just came on coincidentally!! That's not a bad one either.

UMT was definitely one of my favorite openers, but the one that really worked for me in person was "Not Fade Away" on the Voodoo Lounge tour. Very unexpected and the crowd totally freaked out...I remember a group of girls sitting behind me screaming their heads off when the band hit the stage.

Hopefully we'll see something different like this next time around.

Agreed. I saw the opener in DC and the boys must have been milling about backstage, preparing to march up the steps, when I heard a tiny snippet of NFA played on a guitar through the monitors (we were close). I excitedly shouted to my wife and friends "They're going to open with Not Fadeaway!" A few minutes later they did precisely that. Those around us were stunned. There was no internet to spoil the surprise in the 'old days.'

What about if the tour setlist followed (at least approximately) chronologically thru their career.

So it could start with something like Route 66 and end up with Rough Justice.

Plus a 3 or 4 warhorses at the end, of course!

Sympathy is worn and tired I'd like to see it not played at all!

I actually was thinking about this today when I heard a song on the radio I thought would be perfect -- "Tell Me." If Mick came out on stage and sang "I want you back again," the old folks would say WTF and start screaming. And he'd have everybody eating out of his hand with "You've got to tell me you're coming back to me." If I remember right, it's the first song that charted in the US that they wrote, making it more appropriate here in the states -- if there ever is a next tour.

On the other hand, my wife says the youngsters might not react the same way.

PIB opened 2006 fall at Foxboro. Great choice but the sound was not good on the first show after a break.

No SFTD anymore please,no more Mick with these awful and ridiculous clothes and hat .No more "Ouh ouh" as in SAL.....

...

Yeah, that is one of the saddest moments in the Vegas Era Stones: In the middle of the ridiculous stage effects tastelessly dressed Mick in his worst Mickey Mouse efficiency is desperately trying to reach the right notes with his "Ouh ouhs" but ends up not getting them and sonding like a raven... That's worse ANYTHING he did back in the 80's in his solo efforts. Has he lost all of his sense of judgement, and connection to his act?

Is there anyone out there who actually enjoys this 'performance' by Mick?
