Stones photograph books you'd like to see

Now that Genesis has published Exile and the TOTA 1975 books &
Ethan Russell has a great book on the 1969 American Tour (plus the StarF*cker: The Rolling Stones Live in London '76 Hardcover), I would personally like to see:

1. A book covering the 1972 American Tour

2. A photo book on the Stones Mick Taylor Years (sort of like The Vinyl Experience book except hardcover & A LOT thicker)

3. Off topic -- A book on the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival

Does anyone else have a Rolling Stones tour (or album) he/she would like to see covered in a deluxe photograph book? The 1971 UK Farewell Tour?

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

there are a few Stones topics i'd love to see books on, but they'd need to be books i can afford -
i'd never see them if they were ritzy collectors' editions. (i have nothing against ritzy collectors - i'm just not one of them)

Fair enough, with ssoul. Let me rephrase my Subject -- "Stones photograph books you would like to see if you didn't have to pay an arm & a leg for them."

I'd really like to see a Taylor Years book done. There's a guy named Lawrence Kirsch who has done two fine books on Springsteen. His latest, The Light In Darkness, about the '78 Darkness On The Edge of Town Tour is a great photography book. When he was busy assembling the book, I got into a discussion with him, via e-mail, about what other books he was considering doing. I told him that I was a huge Stones fan as well and that I really wanted somebody to tackle doing a photo book of the Stones from the Taylor Era.
He told me that he's been considering doing a book on the Stones from '68-'78. Although that would be nice, my own preference would be for him to concentrate even more specifically on the '69-'73 touring years. If any of you ever get a chance to go to his website, www.thelightindarkness.com, perhaps you can take a moment to let him know that you'd like to see him tackle a project such as this. It is on his radar. I'm not sure if he's of the mind that he has enough of an audience to do a book like this. It would be nice if Stones fans could e-mail him and tell him that it would be worth his while. The fact that people on this website are digging up photos I've never seen from the '70 and '71 tours gives me hope that a really well-done phtography book on the Taylor Years is a realistic proposition.

Wishful thinking, but I´d like something similar to Ethan Russells budget version
of " Let It Bleed " done by Genesis with " Exile" and the " TOTA " book.

Nevertheless I´m hoping for a book covering the Taylor years.

I would like to see a book of photographs that fans have taken, since the band's inception.
This photo would be a good one to start with.

By the way, I forgot to ask about the recently issued book " The Rolling Stones
Illustrated Biography " from the Daily Mail archives.

Is it completely different to the one published by Susan Hill´s " Unseen Archives "
based as well on the Daily Mail archive ?

I remember Deltics talked about it ...

By Jane Benn, right? I got mine in the mail yesterday, and most of the photos are similar to those in Hill's "Unseen Archives." But there are a few different photos, or some that are larger. Was kind of disappointed though. Sorry sad smiley
