Faces on VH1 - BBC Classic

Hey, VH1 Classic ran a Faces concert last night, looked to be 1972,73.

Damn what a good band. Rod's vocals were 1st rate, I turned it on to catch:
3-button hand me down - haven't heard that song in a while.

Ronnie Laine shared the vocals with Rod on Maybe I'm Amazed. They did part's
of: Street Fighting Man and a complete: Love In Vain

Ran for an hour. Gonna look around the Video stores for this one!!

Ronnie at his best!!

I caught the end. Stay with me was great. I TIVOd later last night but did not watch yet. I am going to watch this for sure today when I get a spare hour. VH1 has this playing many times in near future so easy to catch if you get VH1 Classic.
Hot band inded!! Good to hear Ron as lone guitar (nothing against Keith but interesting to just see and hear Ron on his own). Ian cooks on piano. Kenny and Ronnie L. and all of them very tight and strong on the rhythm.
It seems like this was a Saturday night show on BBC in the early 70's but other shows coming up on VH1 include Lynard Skynyrd, AC/DC and the Police. The last 2 won't have been too early 70's so I could be wrong.

Also I have seen recently on VH1 this classic album show. For 1 hour they talk about the album. Have engineers and the artists at the sound boards with the original masters playing isolated pieces of songs and explaining how they put it together. Fascinating and awesome. I saw Electric Ladyland last week and caught Who's Next last night. It included John interviews that may or may not have been done for this show so this may be an old series but couldn't be much older than 5 yrs. but I never saw it before and I recommend it. Dark Side of the Moon, something by Def Lepard, something by Judas Priest are also showing within the next week or so (as I recall)

You Tube "stay with me" I love the Woodster in this one!

For everything Woody and Keith share regarding their guitar interplay back in the day it is most certainly paralleled by the chemistry Woody and Stewart had as exhibited in this Faces vid.

To use a sports "team" analogy, Ron Wood simply makes others around him better IMO. Folks definitely fed off his vibe back in the glory days.
