Does anyone know what other songs he uses the Danos on either live or studio?

Also, what about KR & Woody? What songs do they use Danos on?

I am getting my second Dano this week so I am interested.

right now I can only go after repros. I am saving for a US G&L Comanche.

I have a 63 reissue and I am getting a Hearsay. It;s used. I got it from a guitar store called Daddy's Junky Music.

I love Danos. I have a few of the new cheap pedals too and for the money, they can;t be beat. I am just a @#$%& so they are good enough for me.

I had an original longhorn 6-string bass...I played a new repro longhorn tonight. I regret to report that it was terrible. I agree, the cheap pedals are great, and I loved it when they first reissued the guitars several years ago. I think the quality was better then, despite the tape on the sides of the bodies to simulate the old white bakelite (or whatever that substance was). The necks on the newer reissues really feel bad to me, even for a cheap guitar. Good luck in your search.

He can be seen using it on "I Can't Be Satisfied" on the Biggest Bang DVD set too.

thanks Tele. The guitars are made cheaply, The tape on my 63 is pulling away from the body but I find the neck really nice. It sort of feels like the Squier Tele Custom I have which has a great neck.

Danelectro guitars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rolling Hansie, as KN notes "Dano" = "Danelectro" = the company that made the guitar Mick used on Back of My Hand
(Danelectro also makes many other models, of course - including Ronnie's "sitar guitar" ).

Funny thing is: you once in a while saw them at guitar fares, and normally they where in the 200 euro range. After Jagger used one on stage, suddenly all guitar shops in Holland where flooded with these Silvertones, carrying a 800 euro price tag!

you can still find those very cheap. i bought one for 250$. there is absolutely no need to buy a repro danelectro because of price. i really like those old
lipstick pu´s, those alone are werth the price.

They have a really great sound. I paid 125 for a new 63 re-issue and 75 for the Hearsay.

I find these guitars to have their own flair which you don;t see with guitars in this price range.

I believe Danelectro built guitars for Silvertone. In the States, we have an old department store chain named Sears and up until the mid to late 70s, theu carried guitars by Silvertone but they were built by Danelectro.

I's nice to see MJ still has some stroke!

I had a Danelectro Innuendo that I paid $100 for. Loved it!!! Very versatile little guitar. It had a cool look too, kind of reminded me of a Mosrite.

Great to read - I play a Danelectro (named Loretta) every day!
