Jumpin' Jack Flash video on YouTube...amazing.

I just saw the 1968 Jumpin' Jack Flash video on YouTube.

There's one where they are wearing a lot of makeup, and then there's this one - without makeup but the music really cooks. I'd say this is one of their many 'peaks'. 1966 was one. This was another. This was the apogee of the 'Satanic' period...Brian looking beautiful and deadly, Bill looking like a knife-wielding Thug, Keef approaching keefdom, Charlie the quiet Assassin, and Jagger, the Whirling Dervish/debauched schoolboy. What a look! Another Satanic apex would result the following year...musically...but sans Brian the look wasn't quite as threatening. The absolute Zenith would be 1972/1973. 1975 was an amazing debauchery...have you seen the look then? And the music was blistering [the bootlegs prove it]. Then 1978...shammbolic punkiness at its peak. Then 1981...the mature Stones reaching another peak. But this video...well it defines the danger and allure of rock and roll at its most Satanic and visceral.

The best version of JJF I have EVER heard...why they did not release this rare version - or at least make it an album track on Beggar's Banquet - is a mystery.

Diamond rings, Vaseline, you gave me disease, well, I lost a lot of love over you.

I'd say spring of 1968. stones within a year of their apex. I think this
is the better version of JJF...punky, slightly pared down version the
album version. No other band has ever more embodied the essence of what
parents fear than these characters. Brian jones, despite his diminished
status, nonetheless *still* looks like the one commanding the most
'presence' of all of them. What a shame thinking of what he might have
evolved into...

Is this the same video that came with the 3rd singles box? (which I've not played due to no dvd player past 6 months since I acquired box)

Amazing version, indeed, expect...Expect this "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah" during the first seconds! Too "sixties" to me...

In 1968, could there have been a doubt as to the "World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band"??? They were absolutely blazing! And Mick Taylor was yet to join...that's f'n scary!!!!!

I absolutely agree... JJF defined the Stones as the "World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band" Very hot video!

Does anybody have a copy of this entire JJF video from 25x5 who might be willing to send me a copy? I have been looking for this for awhile if anyone can help. Possible trade or open to other options?

Honestly some of the JJF videos from this current tour are incredible... the Giants stadium video was a knockout and if ANYONE has the JJF or the SYmpathy from Soldier Field in 2005 please post a link to it !!!

Yeah, this is tremendous and they do look murderous. Someone posted this comment on there:

"This is the instrumental album version, speeded up. You can hear it by the background vocals. The vocals are done live."

I was wondering -- it seems the backup vocals are coming from somewhere, but where?? What do you make of that comment, though, is that accurate?
