I havent read any contradictions of late. What gives you that impression?

Therea are clues that seem crypted messages (but maybe I am foolish) :

- the fact they seemingly dropped Argentina, a gig that was almost sure, from what I have read and heard (Argentina was taken off the IORR scheduled dates four days ago)

- IORR new page (the founder of the Stones replaced by the final bow of the survivors) (happened this week-end)

- the hint BV gave, ie a next big information to come (happened this week-end)

- the fact Keith gave up his guitar during his two songs (just new)

- the last time - it's all over now in the rehearsal list... (ten days ago, or so)

well..I think its possibly the 'last time' for North America - but theres no real 'new' rumours there other than what we've heard for a few months or weeks

A return to South America in late 2006 was strongly rumoured a couple of months ago (and dates appeared to be almost finalised for Buenos aires in December) but from what I heard it collapsed some weeks ago. Dont know if thats the end of their plans to play there. Maybe its just because by the time the American leg is over they want to take the rest of the year off. Who knows..south america could happen in 2007?

I wouldnt read too much into anything else.

Youve overlooked the counter-argument that Ronnie said only a few days ago they would be playing in Europe in 2007. Plus the fact that some promoters in Europe (most notably in Spain) have specifically stated that they have been told the Stones will return there next year.

Never heard that Keith gave up his guitar during Little T+A - where is that from?

<Too much contradictions those days.>
Sep 14: Ronnie Wood confirming more shows in Europe (from IORR, seems clear enough for me...).

My feeling is that the broad intention to do Europe next summer is there...with details and p[lanning yet to take shape.

Will they simply continue ABB..or will they have a new name for this tour extension of delayed and suplimentary dates ?

Well, thanks all, I am truly happy if I was wrong.

Yeah, it will be entitled Let It Bleed (or Sticky Fingers) European Tour 2007, because they play more of these albums than Bigger Bang tunes ;-)

Relax... You said contradictions, but they're just little details and definitely NOT statements. However, there will be a tour of Europe in 2007, 40 dates. That's been confirmed by open sources, like promotors and CPI. And by BV.
If they rehearse The Last time and It's all over now, that could be because a lot of people have actuelly said they'd like to hear those songs, amongst others. (even on this board)

yeah..it'll be called A Smaller Bang, as a reflection of the lack of songs being played from it....winking smiley

I hope WE won't call it the 40 licks tour again.
Well, actually, it was a great tour, wasn't it? (Licks tour I mean)

Guys

This could simply mean no more long world tours....but could actually be a blessing in diguise! Perhaps meaning more frequent & shorter tours(?).

I just can't believe this band would ever give up the stage altogether until either Jagger-Richards-Watts passes or is phyically handicapped.

The strongest rumor in my opinion is Bjornulf's statement "The last world tour hitting North America"....that and the talk a couple years ago about no more world tours.

The Rolling Stones will go on!! But...things will change after 2007.

The cool thing to do would then be to call the tour "A Smaller Bang" and then play the entire album. LOL.

the majority of concert goers on the 'Bigger Bang' tour,
must think its named after the post show fireworks.

If you would tell them that during the gig most of the people would thank you for explaining that

I'd imagine that the Stones are perhaps done with those big @#$%&-off world tours. Been there, done that, got the over-priced t-shirt (only joking!).
However I bet we'll get smaller tours. 20 shows in America, 20 in Europe
and much better material. Plus more regular albums!

I too think that we probably won't see any world tours in the future, but, as has been said, they will still continue to play in front of audiences.

Let's hope there's more club venues to see them in,and maybe a raffle to get the tickets? Lol!
