Stones' Performance In Altamont

I was listening to thge audio of the Stones' music on the crazy Altamont stage. What is amazing is that they rocked incredibly hard and tight. "Sympathy MachII" is one of the hotter versions. The crowd getting rowdy in the 3rd verse is actually the right backdrop for a song like this. Keith's solo is infernal. Charlie and Bill are tight.

I didn't find it to be among the best of '69, but there is a certain mood. It's certainly better than Hyde Park.

Oh it's among the best of everything, that show! Too bad about the quality...it's listenable, but not digable...apart from those 3 soundboard songs.

I agree DBryant, MSG clips show the stones at the zenith.
