I hate to brag guys , but Canada's gonna rock in September. September 21-Roger Waters in Montreal September 23 -the Stones in Halifax September 26- Eric Clapton and Robert Cray in Ottawa
Its gonna be expensive, but what a ride.......
I will then have just enough time to recover before Atlantic City on Oct 27.
PS-anyone out there seen Clapton or Waters this time around?
Keef and Jeff beck are the main reasn I have been playing guitar for 34 years! Love em both.....and I cannot pass up the opportunity to see Jeff Beck....he does not tour often enough.
Here's a little taste of Beck and Clapton doing' further on up the road'. Notice how Clapton sits back and smiles as Jeff shows him how it is done:
I mentioned in the Vancouver concert thread about all the shows coming to town within the next month and a half: Stones, Who, Elton John, Dylan, Paul Simon, Chili Peppers, Sheryl Crow, Thorogood, DL Roth, Mariah Carey, Black Eye Peas. $400 for my Stones ticket doesn't leave much left to see anyone else, although I'll probably see DLR and surprisingly there's a couple tickets left to see the Who so maybe I'll get nosebleed seats for that show.
I saw Sheryl Crow a week ago. She was very good. Lacking a bit of energy on some songs, but still quite good. Oddly, she was opeing for John Mayer...and most of the crowd was there to see him.
Living in Buffalo, we miss a lot of bigger tours. The Who, Stones and Chili Peppers all passed us by this time around, unfortunately. Luckily Toronto is 90 minutes away, so I can catch my own Canadian trifecta soon.
For right now, I'm doing a cheap 'Canadian' trifecta: Spirit of the West, Sloan and Blue Rodeo over a 2 month span...all for free.

Michael Palin in "Life Of Brian" (As the hung up inmate in the prison): "You lucky bastards. You lucky, lucky bastards".

I saw Clapton in July. His new rhythm section (Steve Jordan on drums and Willie Weeks on bass) is an incredible improvement compared to previous tours.
