What if Jagger / Richards had never done solo stuff
and had kept this songs for the Stones.
I'm sure it wouldn't have made any impact on CD sales,
but it will had made a great contribuition to their
catalog.

Evening gown
Locked away
Hang on to me tonight
Rock a while
Party Doll
Old habits die hard
God gave me everything
Wicked as it seem
Lonely with out you
Out uf focus
Brand new set of rules
Whip it up
I've been lonely for so long
Take it so hard
Hard woman

I'd be willing to wager that some of these existed in their private stash for quite some time before they were recorded and if Mick never produuced a solo LP then at least some would have been released by the Stones .

What if Mick Taylor had joined Lynyrd Skynyrd in May '76 instead of Steve Gaines - then he would have been playing the slide on this number ..... (Knebworth Park Aug. '76)

I think Steve Gaines did a fine job here as it is.

You betcha! Guitar heaven - the three of them.

(Just a pretext for airing the clip again (originally provided by 'ghostryder' on another thread)).

Edit - (with the retrospective 'what if' irony being that MickT would have been helping to upstage his old band - on their own stage!)

Then here's another.... (the Skynyrd cats could not be cooled ) .............

The fireworks start afer the 3 minute mark ......... and the Weaving masterclass starts shortly after the 5 minute one.

No Micks required.

Chris, if you are still about (and can take a quick peek at the Free Eagle clip) you'll agree that it's a treat to see a Les Paul and SG combination - but what is the quitar that the guy in red is playing (Allen Collins?)

and one other question - please can you explain the eleanor roosevelt referernce?
