OT: Neil Young"s "Heart Of Gold" Movie

Ordered this on pay-per-view, and loved it. Jonathan Demme directed this, and it's a fantastic collection of acoustic Neil, including "Prairie Wind" presented in its entrirety.

Performed beautifully at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Great sound. Highly recommended by yours truly.

PS Emmylou Harris appears as a guest background vocalist.

It's good - have had the DVD for awhile - BUT would go for a cleaned up DVD (like Jimmy did with the Zep box) of Neils early 70's shows anytime (around the time of AFTER THE GOLD RUSH/HARVEST. Also - The Album he refuses to release on CD "TIME FADES AWAY" a brilliant album and a brilliant tour. Got a tape of it (the concert) and would LOVE to have an official DVD of the tour - great show !!! Demme was about 15 to 20 years too late.....

Fantastic! Nice long, smooth camera cuts. The editing does not give you a headache.

The old question: When will he release his "Archives" series? Concerning "Time Fades Away": Maybe you should sign the petition:

Absolutely. That's what I enjoyed most about the film. Well, that and the end credits, which roll over neil playing "Old Laughing Lady" solo acoustic in the empty auditorium. I prefer that style to the bulk of the Prairie Wind material, though it's well done.

I stupidly didn't catch it while it was playing at a newish movieplex in my city, and instead waited until it was in another, smaller place with crap sound. So I can't say how good is the sound.
