Nice photo, Rockman. It looks more like he's grooving with the devil in that one. It's an eerie picture.

I can't believe he's been gone almost 40 years, it seems not possible, he missed so much.

RIP Brian, I hope your soul has finally found some peace.

R.I.P Brian.

Guess it's time for watching 'In The Park' tonight.

Nice post, Baboon Bro, I've never seen that before.

Ode to L.A while thinking of Brian Jones, Deceased

I’m a resident of a city
They´ve just picked me to play
the Prince of Denmark

Poor Ophelia

All those goasts he never saw
Floating to doom
On an iron candle

Came back, brave warrior
Do the dive
On another channel

Hot buttered pool
Where´s Marrakesh
Under the falls
the wild storm
where savages fell out
in late afternoon
monsters of rhythm

You´ve left your
Nothing
to compete w/
silence

I Hope you went out
Smiling
Like a child
Into the cool remnant
of a dream

The angel man
w/serpents competing
for his palms
& fingers
Finally claimed
This benevolent
Soul

Leaves, sodden
in silk

Chlorine
dream
mad stifled witness

The diving board, the plunge
The pool

You were a fighter
a samask musky muse

You were the bleached Sun
for TV afternoon

horned toads
maverick of a yellow spot

Look now to where it´s got
You

in meat heaven
w/the cannibals
& jews

The gardener
Found
The body, rampant, floating

Lucky Stiff
What is this green pale stuff
You´re made of

Poke holes in the goddess
Skin

Will he Stink
Carried heavenward
Thru the halls
of music

No chance.

Requiem for a heavy

That smile
That porky satyr´s
leer
has leaped upward

into the loam

Brian will never be forgotten. If you happen to come to Cheltenham these days, please go to the Cheltenham cemetary - buy some flowers first - and put it on his grave. Its the first grave right hand side in the alley that leads to the cemetary chapel. You can´t miss it - ita a very sad place.

Do the girls still scream, when you perform on stage? KR: Not on stage, but when I perform, yeah.

Dear Brian -

By all acounts, you were an extremely difficult douchebag, so I'm finding it hard to muster up much of anything too reverent on the anniversary of your Final Dip.

That said, you were a musician of great caliber and vision, you were the most stylish person in the most stylish city of the most stylish decade, and you set those two geeks from Dartford on a proper career path, so you couldn't have been all that bad.

Peace & love,

JuanTCB

P.S.: By the way - your replacement was amazing, but the guy who replaced him...his merits are still being debated 30 years later. Oh, and Bill married a teenager and quit the band and Keith went bald and fell out of a tree. Charlie's exactly the same and Mick got knighted. Go figure.

In my humble estimation, you were the TRUEST Rolling Stone. Brian, RIP.

RIP dear Brian, my favourite Stone. His musical abilities always blow me away. A very underrated musician, I believe! And that is a pity, he truly deserves more credit than he has received all these years.

JuanTCB, your post was friggin' hilarious! Nice job! And yes, that last part describes the Stones career to a "t"!

But in all seriousness, Brian is truly missed by this guy. I don't care what he was like as a person, his musicianship can't be touched. He had a knack for giving a song that special touch.

Rest in peace Brian.
