STONES TO TOUR IN TO 2007

The Rolling Stones are scheduled to tour the USA again in the Fall of
2006 highlights include a stop at New York's Madison Square Garden in
October. Then after the States the Stones head to Thiland and other
exotic places before returning to the USA again in the late
Winter/early Spring.

SFJ hasn't gotten any word on the club/theatre shows mention by
Michael Cohl at the 2005 Rolling Stones Press Conference in New York.
Fans are hoping for at least one night where there can have a special
performance to hear some of the more rare songs. Madison Square
Garden would be the idea venue and the Rolling Stones Fans club
members should be able to have the first chance at the tickets to the
coveted show.

so, it seems there is going to be the European summer 2007 tour after all. IF they choose to come to Europe but it would seem natural..

Stones to return to USA in 2006 Fall....First date is Sept. 28 2006
in Boston...Tour to run to either Nov. 16th or 26th..NYC is in Oct at
MSG...All info subject to change as you know. But this is how the
press release would read if it came out today. There will be NO small
shows and tickets should be about the same as before ...Set list will
be shorter but with some surprises... More info later.

I'd be shocked if they tour at all in 2007, but if they do they should make up the cancelled Europe dates before going anywhere else.

then why are they cancelling all the euro 2007 shows if they will play spring usa 2007 , makes no sence

reason 1. Europe in Winter
reason 2. I guess promotors need to make some kind of payment towards the band management for organising the concert. Maybe it was too long for the promotors to wait till 2007. That money usually comes from bank credit that needs to be paid back this summer not 2007

we do probably smell fish in Europe for the stones today.

And some people are still saying is not only BIZ...

NO, no other dates

They cancel now in order to reschedule a European tour 2007 with higher ticket prices.
