Word is the outtakes of Mick and Anita actually having sex (scenes that were cut from Performance) circulated as an actual film and won some European porn short film award in 1970.

Is this urban myth or true? is the film (or outtakes) available? has anyone seen it? and if so, how/where?

Has Jagger ever gone on record saying anything about this "film"?

I don't believe that it ever won an award at a porn festival. No one knows of this festival, no one ever really saw those excerpts (neither on film nor photos) nothing but rumors about those scenes surfaced in 40 years. I think it's all made up bullshit.

Those of us who are shallow and enjoy the gossip and the scandal that have always surrounded the band and their exploits (that would be me!) would surely have found some proof by now if this ever existed. I think Gazza says this in the old thread where this was discussed.

Rcokman did publish some stills on here, from Performance of Mick with Michele Breton I think that left little to the imagination, I think that is the closest you'll get to the mythical porn, Swiss.

In the documentary about Donald Cammell called The Ultimate Performance (I think) there are some quick cuts of them in bed that's pretty hardcore. At least I think it's them, it's filmed under a bedsheet and I'm pretty sure it's Mick, the hair matches at least, haha.

I saw some excerpts of the so-called porn. They're included in a couple of hours documentary about Cammell, dated maybe 92-93 with intervies to Mick, Anita, Fox, Kenneth Anger.
Mick and Anita are under the sheet with the camera shooting Jagger licking Anita's neck and in some scenes Michele Breton is participating, I remember one of the girls riding on Jagger.
It could be considered porn in the 60's, today is soft-erotic, I mean that images are not so evident (at least in this documentary).

It seems odd that, given all the boots trading over the years, if this film existed it wouldn't have surfaced anywhere.

It's not simply prurience, wishing to see Mick naked and fukking someone -- tho there's some of that, of course. I don't think that's what it was, but rather being high and hanging out together for hours and days, naked in bed. And perhaps a bit of Mick's and Anita's perversity, wanting to mess with Keith. So, my guess is after the initial showing at the festival the only remaining copy is with the producer, and maybe onewith Jagger. I wouldn't imagine Keith was ever jonesing for have a copy. {ouch!}

He gave commentary about the film in the 28-minute documentary Influence and Controversy: Making 'Performance' (2007), along with Anita, a featurette on the 2007 remastered DVD. He's alive and well. the whole write-up could indeed be bullshit, but "involved in a love quadrangle"
could just mean someone's partner was screwing two other people,
not necessarily that each of the four was doing the other three.

as we all know, Keith of course is completely straight.

True or not, The writting of the Gimme Shelter song was a direct consequence

but i've never read/heard any comments from Keith about it being a direct consequence of anything.

The whole story was based around outtakes from the shoot that were never intended to be included in the final cut. Panned by the mainstream press ("disgusting and worthless," hissed TIME) and controversial even before its premiere (an exec's wife reportedly vomited at a screening), it was re-cut and re-scored, while scandalous rumors circulated about the shoot - the original lab refused to print the bed scenes.
