Best Stones song for a baseball introduction

I have a friend whose son will be playing baseball next season for MS State. Every college player now has thier own entrance music as they walk to the plate. My friend asked my opinion on possible introduction selections. So I'm asking for your expert help.

Ok, now you're talkin' two favorite subjects of mine -- no baseball-oriented Stones song comes to mind, but my first thought was "One Hit (to the Body)". Why? Because in the clutch, sometimes all it takes is one hit. Corny? Maybe.

You Got Me Rocking.
Encore in LA 2002.
See the reviews: [iorr.org]

From the reviews:
For the first song of the encore, the Stones came out with You Got Me Rocking. When Mick sang the "I was a pitcher..." line, the large video screen on stage showed the final out of the World Series which made the Anaheim Angels world champions, the play that took place 6 days earlier on the very field from which we were watching tonight's show. The crowd went crazy, though I strongly suspect we will not see this dramatic effect implemented next weekend at Pacific Bell Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, the team that the Angels defeated.

You Got Me Rocking. Good one! Seeing as half the team will use Eye Of The Tiger that is a very good alternative!

There is probably only going to be about 10 seconds played of the song right? So you probably don't care too much about lyrics other than the chorus I would think.

I think Mannish Boy would be kind of cool, to have that blues riff as he's walking out. That would be a different style than the rest of the other players I would think.

Ooooh, how exciting, I'll have to go check that post out.

Yeah I was busy this weekend with my son so I wasn't online much. However, I now can do a puzzle of a USA map in about 1 minute flat if I ever need to.

I was asked the question last week as I watched my friend's daughter play her final home game at Southern MS. One of her team-mates last name was Fox. Every time she came up to the plate about 10 seconds of Foxy Lady blared over the speakers. Very clever stuff.

YGMR is a good one for the intro surely....I always thought that more baseball teams should use the Jagger/Tosh single "Don't Look Back" when a walk was issued.....the chorus...............keep on a walkin' don't look back.........is kind of perfect..........

How about "Let me go" as a double meaning?

You're gonna get it straight from the shoulder
I tried giving you the velvet gloves
I tried giving you the knockout punch
Hey, let me go

Tell your friend to go w/ Metallica's "Enter Sandman"....or AC/DC's "Hells Bells"....Gn'R's "Welcome to the Jungle" is always a winner..

if he HAS to go w/ a Stones tune....I say "Gimme Shelter"...the opening riff has that "intimidating" dark feel to it...at least to me...

When former Yankee catcher John Flaherty would come up to bat, they'd play the opening chords of JJF

Stones song: Paint It Black (those drums should do the trick)

Non Stones: Born to Be Wild (Steppenwolf), Hush (Kula Shaker)/

What about DJ Kool's Let Me Clear My Throat?

I mistook him for John Fogarty and it reminds me Centerfield.

Oh, put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today
Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today
Look at me, I can be Centerfield

Nah, I don't think that has that adrenaline at the beginning, like Gimmie Shelter or You Got Me Rocking does. The best part of If You Can't Rock Me is when they jump from that funky bridge to the wah solo. Not the intro.

I forgot to add one small detail. The baseball player looking for the best intro song is named "Jet." Maybe, just maybe the best intro song for this young man is a Macca song....I can hear the McCartney haters already. LOL
