I was just watching this interview with Monet Mazur who played Anita in the Stoned movie.

She claims that her father created the tongue logo. It usually gets credited to Warhol. Anyone know anything about this?

I will pjb. And like I said, I did search first, I just mis-typed.

The Stones had Warhol refine the original by Pasche because they weren't totally thrilled with it. Warhol made it more of a lapping tongue than the one that sort of curled straight down.

The design has existed for a long time. But whose idea was it to make it specifiaclly the Stones' logo?

Pasche reportedly received $50 for the work he did. He has never complained about that as far as I know.
