boys don't you were expecting for something more too?...

Re: Tokyo March22

I think that the top half of the set will be completely mixed up on Friday. The replacements are fairly predictable. IORR, Rambler, Gimme Shelter, Angie, maybe Bitch, WAY. But if anyone goes to both shows, they won't have any complaints. I do NOT think that they will pull a Mexico.

I wish that they would try to mix up the last 1/3 of the show (I've given up on Keith). But I suspect that this might be fixed for the rest of the year:

HTW
SFTD
Paint it black
SMU
BS
YCAGWYW
Satisfaction

I was kind of hoping for a live debut.

You know, if they are going to debut something, they might as well do it in Japan, where fans are incredibly supportive. Their supportive nature has led artist trying something new to debut tours in Japan -- things like Mick's solo tour and one of the most unique tours ever -- George Harrison/Eric Clapton in 1991. George and Eric toured Japan, had tentative plans to expand the tour, but then George returned to hibernation until he passed away.

That's why my expectations were (perhaps unrealisticly) high. You're probably right about the friday setlist.

For Toru and anyone else who was there

They appear to be using the North American stadium stage again - were there "on stage" tickets available for these concerts?

Got that by now; but not while posting was done.

Just gotta find new routines
(only check Virtual Ticket...?) for the Asian Leg.

..............Still I wonder still I wonder:
For how long has this on-line-ish publishing of setlists
been going on on rs.com... sad smiley ??

On and off since sometime last year.

There were people on stage. I thought that they might be promoter/VIP types, but they looked like an assortment of regular folks. I read on a Japanese board that tour staff were inviting people in the stands to use the on-stage seats! That would be cool if you were sitting in the second deck.

The on-stage area was may be 1/2 or 2/3 full. Some space there. The 20-30 first rows were special price us $500, not on regular sale but party packages. Originally planned for only 5 or so front rows, but then they were selling well, so they just added more and more rows at this high price. May be the last few packagdes did not sell s there was a block of some 100 seats empty. This was handled by the locals not the Stones. A large space of 30 feet in front of the stage and also on both sides of the runway to the B-stage, and also around the B-stage itself. Most of the Big Egg was packed, only may be 2000 seats not sold.

thanks for the info. Seems that the 'on sale' tickets are distributed differently to what they were in North America.

first time Sway has been played in a stadium - that's a good indication of possibilities to come for the all-stadium tour of Europe....wasn't sure they had the cojones to play it to big audience....

Re: Tokyo March22

Sway will be played more and more now. It is working perfect. Goosehair version. Ronnie is the hero on this one. First a great long and beautiful slide solo. Then later on in the song a long great solo a la Can't You Hear Me Knocking. And Ronnie is so concentrated, really a pleasure to see how he is preparing for the first slide solo. Like a football player just about to fire off a penalty kick. Shaking his hand. Checking out the strings, stretching out, waiting for the "Go Ronnnie" from Mick. And then he is on!

Re: Tokyo March22

maybe, but why would the Stones be wearing winter coats inside of a dome?

oh, didn't you know? it's a costume change they do these days for She's So Cold!

I don't know if the geese are stuffed and if their hairs are uprising but I am sure you understand what I mean. GĂ„sehud is the Norwegian term. Look it up...
