Maybe at Keith? Maybe he wasn't paying attention to Jagger's signal or something? I don't know. confused smiley

his monitor was not working properly. at the beginning of the song he bends down to verify that he can not hear himself. then he is looking around for a stage hand, finally made eye contact with him, pointed to the faulty monitor, then rolled his eyes.

that sounds right. As we have all seen it many many times, i always thought he was pointing at keith to have him"step up into the spotlight" type thing, but the above makes much more sense. Thanks for posting, next time i view it i will lokk at it like that

He was pointing as Keith's ear wax.

I always thought he was expressing exasperation at Keith's unwillingness to sing his background parts.

i actually thought it was a signal to the stage hands (Cutler probably) so watch the girls in the front row from throwing stuff on stage...?

I agree with Tatters yes Jagger is pointing at Keith to step to the mic for the background parts.

Yes, but it's possible that at the MSG shows, with filming and recording taking place, Mick may have WANTED Keith to do some live vocals. Keith may even have assured Mick that he WOULD do them, and then conveniently "forgot".

no way - not with the way Jagger sang every version of JJF on the US 69 Tour.
I could not see Keith trying to sing backups during the "well it's alright, yeah it alright" the way Jagger sung that during the whole Tour.

During the 1970 Euro tour we had the "well it's alllll-rright.." studio-like version of the song....with backups.
