That's my favorite version of Love In Vain too (L&G soundtrack).
Even the slide solo is stunning.

I really like MT's solo on I Don't Know Why I Love You.
It's not technically brilliant, but musically outstanding.

Generally speaking, my personal fav is the '82 Bluesbreakers period. The club audiences are enthusiastic and Taylor's playing is happy. He's in his element. He is the star of the show without having to be the star. Mayall gives him free rein and lots of encouragement and prodding. Oh Pretty Woman, My Time After A While, Rock It In The Pocket, I Should Know Better, The Stumble....wonderful.

The '84 Dylan tour is a treasure trove of guitar playing. Not popular with the Bobcats, but wonderful for Taylor fans. It's Dylan fronting an English RnR band.

I really like his rhythm guitar on "Bitch." On that one, he played rhythm as well as what's his name, the guy he switched roles with on "Bitch," the guy who played lead on that one.

I agree that the solo on Oh Virginia on Pay Pack and Follow is stunning. I am also very fond of the Gimme Shelter from Philly 7/21/72 1st show.
