Sorry to say it, but she did not sound good, Her solo's on both Night time and YCAGWYW were lack luster and medorcure. Not to mention he outfit on night time looked like s**t.
I thought she was alright. What really put me off was the backup vocals as a whole, especially on Tumbling Dice and a few others. Really lackluster, souless and not even in the original melody. ugh. I'd fire the lot of em and reload with some new blood if it was my band.
Looks like she lost some weight since she sang with Madonna during the "Feed the Africans and absolve their debt and cure their aids" concert in England.
I don't know if it was my computer or what but she sounded way too loud in the mix to me. Especially during Get Off my Cloud, Start Me Up and Satisfaction, I could hear her way more than normal. Did anyone else notice this?

LOL! Reptile, you are damn funny for 14. If you keep this up you will be a great stand up comic by the time you are old enough to drink legally.

She couldn't get her weave tightened in Brazil...
Honestly I thought she was GOOD, just not "over the top"... neither was Mick for that matter...
Night Time was the 'fun" version, not the very inspired "hey baaaaayyyyyybeeee" version...
They did great back-up singing while the band was on the b-stage...
Lisa was just more "contained" in Rio, far from "awful"
"It's just that demon life has got me in it's sway..."

Well, listening to the back-up singing in "Miss You" on the b-stage, the word "disaster" comes to mind, but then, "Miss You" in general never sounds too inspired these days, nothing more than a formal run-through...sorry.

No apologies needed...
Just curious... would you say that the entire Rio show was pretty much a disaster ? Given that terrible back-up singing you experienced ? Probably ruined alot of songs for you did it ?

Not at all! Rio was a pretty good show. But listening to Mick doing the "ooh" thing during Miss You and the backup singers singing "aah" at the same time sounds a little bit out of sync for me to say the least. Didn't they do Miss You a million times before?
Frankly speaking, I am not a friend of all-too-prominent backup vox in the mix, but when they do it right, it's ok with me. "Tumbling Dice" from the Rio show also comes to mind where I found the backing vox a bit too loud in the mix. But then, that's only a minor problem. It may be just the broadcast mix.

Miss You is a tough number every night, and for obvious reasons. The band needs to concentrate on getting to their spots, staying on board while the moving section of the stage rises, posing for the audience on their way to the B-Stage, etc. Can't be an easy task.
