A great stones cocktail to work out with or jog(i run half marathons normally), is to have brussels 73 on your mp3 player and after the long workout to come down put on Goats Head Soup it works for me.
Currently training (not very successfully) for The London Marathon- so i appreciate your suggestions. I occasionally listen to an ipod, on the treadmill at the gym (at the moment, Brussels '73, Perth '73, and Leeds Lungs)- always gets me going at a good(ish) pace though i never run, outside on the roads, with music. too many nutters on bikes, wanting to mow you down (with earphones you can't hear the bastards coming)
awesome i ran 10 miles on sunday on the jogging trails we have in DC and had brussels 73 on the whole way.i run 120 miles a month (30 miles per week and have sign up for my next run the cherry blossom run here in DC in march 06.running and music keep me alive from the stress of everday life.
Doing 25 miles a week, at the mo- running a half marathon, on the 19th, as preparation, (closed to traffic etc) so i may give The Stones a whirl, in a competitive environment.
I suspect MT's solo on SFM (Brussels) will give me the kick up the ass, i need, over the last 2-3 miles.
try listening to coming down again - its a great boost for me i just love the song and it gets me going.
I just noticed that towards the end of the song keith's vocal on the chorus comes out of the right channel and MJ's vocal comes out of the left channel at the same time its awesome you get keith and mick on vocals at the same time.
Good suggestion! When I was in the army, we had this horrible march, I think it was 50 km, with rucksacks, rifle and heavy boots. I put the headphones under my helmet, and listened to Brussels Affair, even though it wasn't allowed. And the whole march became a grand day out, instead of a bleeding nightmare.
4 Boston marathons, 2 half marathons under my belt, last Boston in 2004 when it was 85 degrees. Currently just doing normal mileage, no marathon in immediate future.

In 2004 I ran the Portland (Oregon - USA) marathon, and right around the 17 or 18 mile mark a spectator had a huge dj type speaker set up on the side of the road and was blasting Can't You Hear Me Knockin (studio version). I could hear it (the beginning part) for a good minute or two, and it really got me going again after feeling like I was running out of steam. I gave the dude a huge thumbs up as I went by to show my appreciation.
