For all you guitarists out there, whats up with Keiths digits? Is this just a necessary evil of playing guitar for 50 plus years? Does he have a bad case of arthritis or is it something else? As i have watched those fingers swell over the years, I always think it will be that affliction which could end the Stones rather than drugs death or otherwise.

I think it is more of an MD issue.

Maybe we could have a thread in which everyone posts their most alarming photos of these hideous fingers?

He played the shit out of SFTD and JJF at MCI in DC this October.

At FEDEX Field (stadium show) in DC in '97, in brutally cold weather, he looked like he was in serious pain. But he played well anyway.

Unfortunately...its Arthritis and me would assume its probably quite painful at times. But I agree he played the shit out of er the 2 shows I saw this tour.

His fingers look like they were smashed with a baseball bat by a Gotti cronie, but he is still my hero(next to my Dad).
