Are they really going? Who knows maybe the promoter already has a answer from Jagger. Would be nice but do they still do festivals.

>> do they still do festivals <<

... "still" as in "since the Isle of Wight in 2007"? :E
anyway i think this thread here makes it pretty clear that it's at the speculative stages: [www.iorr.org]

Please don't mention the Isle of Wight. I would have gone but my daughter was due a fortnight before, how bad timing is that?! For a while I seriously considered going camping with a newborn.

And me too last year Adrian but at age 11 weeks I thought she was ready to attend her first gig which was Brian Wilson at Kenwood in north London...promptly followed by Van Morrison at the same venue!

No Stones for Glastonbury. You will, however, thrill to the sights and sounds of 81-year-old Andy Williams at Glastonbury.

U2 are playing on Friday evening SO who is bigger than U2 to play on Sat and then who else for Sunday? In my mind Friday isn't the biggest spot.

Mark my words - The Stones are playing Glastonbury next year. On the Saturday.

Stones to play Saturday then Pink Floyd on Sunday, how cool would that be! of cause pigs will fly on Monday, having said that maybe they'll fly on Sunday if Pink Floyd play.

Hey Nikolai -

If that is the case, then the Stones could possibly start tour in North U.S. in Feb and perform in Europe during Summer then play Midwest and West U.S. in Fall then complete South leg of tour in Winter. South America and Asia would follow in 2011.

I expect to see them in Florida December 2010.

I think we will have a great summer, and it seems they are not following the usual procedure of where to start the tours etc.

Doesn't there need to be a mapping from a logistical standpoint? I guess what will determine tour schedule is the actual start date. My instincts indicate a Euro Summer tour especially if Glastonbury is involved. Then again as you pointed out, and to support your statement, they didn't perform the ABB concert in Ft. Lauderdale (second abbreviated U.S.leg) until other continents were covered. Simply hard to predict.

If BV says so then I'm gonna start my plans for next summer!

That would make sense, Chris, technically, but would they start in North America in February? There was a rumour on here a while back about a New York venue already booked for a tour announcement in March or April. And someone else said something about the tour starting in Europe next year, which it might well do.

I wouldn't be surprised if all the European shows aren't indoor ones. I hope so. I hate stadiums. The O2 and Wembley Arena gigs The Stones played in 2003 and 07 respectively were great.
