Would some kind soul please help me. How can I find someones email in their profile? I need to respond to someone but not sure how to go about it.

Try contacting BV and ask him if he'll forward on your email as he'll have all our email addresses stored somewhere.

Just click on the person's user name. It'll show you if their Email is hidden or viewable.

Don't think BV will provide you the e-mail if you marked it as hidden, at least I hope not.

yeah i don't think he would either. I would write to the person on here and ask them if they would write to you at your email address.

hi -- I'm glad this question was asked.

I posted something to the iorr Admin discussion but no one has responded.

So I apologize for (a) duplicate posting and (b) posting about an administrative issue here -- but it's pretty potentially serious.

the email I associate with this account is one I very rarely use. Almost no one knows about this email address.

However, I use this same email address for an account of a secure online payment system. They contacted me Saturday saying my account had been hacked and money sent to someone's skype account in China.

I wanted assurance from iorr that this database had not been hacked. Since almost the only alternative is the online payment company system had been hacked -- and as they said, if that had happened it would be in the news.

Of course there are other possibilities -- and it is almost certainly some security "hole" I have not yet figured out -- and is very highly unlikely that it has anything at all to do with iorr.

However, the online payment company said boards like this sometimes are preyed upon, the database is stolen and email and system passwords are all run against the online payment systems' login, and hacking occurs when there is a match.

I do not mean to cause undue concern---and again am not saying at all that something happened here---but wondered whether anyone else on this board has had financial accounts hacked using the same email address used here?

I do not know how to get in touch with the iorr administrator -- and I did post on the appropriate iorr admin board -- otherwise I would have contacted him directly.

All that to say, vis-a-vis this original posting, I'm very wary now of listing that email address anywhere. And in fact will probably change it in the iorr system.

Most of the people on here have an email account that is used only for IORR - I would suggest you do the same.

Thanks, Cindy. I will do that. Fortunately the online payment company: (1) called me within 10 minutes of this going down and (2) is giving me my money back.

Scary part is not knowing where the security breach happened.

If you go back to the top - you will see the question was answered within the first five postings - sarcasm free. He got the information he wanted now we're just messing around - I don't see the problem with that.

T&A and I know each other, we're both married/taken and live on opposite coasts - there's no hanky panky going on - why don't you just lighten up. This isn't even a thread about the Rolling Stones, it should hold no interest to you. Additionally, my boyfriend is on IORR, knows T&A as well and he doesn't care - why should you.
