Live at the Max.

Now that's a solo. The guitarwork is so strong, that I don't mind the samples. And then the show made out of it, with Mick up the tower, great. Atlantic city is comparable, but misses a bit.

I'm one of the few people that think the seventies version of the song is an easy way out. Not that I don't like the guitar rhytym, but in those days a lot of songs were all too similar in my book, just banging out those guitars. Sympathy is a little more subtle though. I think the '89 version is the perfect combination of the original, extended guitar parts and show. It holds a nice middle between the stripped seventies version and the undressed post-'89 versions.

Tokyo 26.2.90 - same version thats on Flashpoint - but without the two huge edits in Keith's pair of wonderful solos.

Even if I have to admit that the 90s version was the best of the "new" SFTD, still samples, clics and similar stuff should not fit in the same sentence with "Rolling Stones Show".

During the Licks tour often it was just before the B stage set. Great oppotunity to go from FO main S to FO "B" S (with a break at the toilet on my way)!!!

Going back to the 90 version, was the "van halen" break just before SFTD, during the transition from 2000 LYFH played by someone or was it pre-recorded?

I like the Atlantic City version that "morphed" from 2000 Light Years From Home. It was truly unique. I believe that they did the same thing on the Live At The Max video. Really cool!

agreed !!! but the solo...seems to left out in the flashpoint...the version i saw and heard in dc that year was ...sick...2000 lt years rt in too SFTD......
